Mr. Yellowstripes and the Fish, Mr. Yellowstripes and the Bird (diptych)

Mr. Yellowstripes diptych. Acrylic on deep wrapped canvases, each 4" x 12", private collection. Last year happened to see an amazing pottery vase from the 60's (Scandanavian maybe?) with stick-like ladies and animals painted on it. Then Mr. Yellowstripes sort of drew himself out on these canvases last week--so I know (sort of) where he came from. I adopted a color scheme I found in a book of mid-century posters.

Hatching an Egg and Walking the Eggs

Couple of Eggman paintings. Both acrylic on board. As a kid I was fanatic about drawing little eggmen--sometimes giant sheets of paper filled with them-- making war, riding rides (and falling out of the rollercoaster) at the amusement park, being terrorized by monsters, etc. They seem to need attention again.

Cooking Lunch, Cooking Dinner, and preliminary sketch

A prelim from my sketchbook that turned into a couple of acrylics. The one with the clock is Cooking Lunch, and it's 3" x 4 1/2" and painted on a wood panel. The other is 6" x 12", painted on canvas.
