A page from a sketchbook

Micron pen and watercolor.

Sketchbooks are scattered all over my house. This one fits in my pocket, so it went on vacation with me last week and got a lot of use--especially in the airport. I like the way the paper takes watercolor. A quality travel watercolor set is top of the wish list now that the old cheap one is nearly empty.

Fence-Face or Garden Goblin

Stoneware with stain, 3" x 3". Private collection.
This is one of two new goblin faces I made for hanging indoors or out. The faces are hand-carved and hand-cast. Some have stain, others are glazed. I'll post some others soon.

Experimental sketch on a map. (A Hopeful Letter)

Watercolor, approx 6" x 9". I was playing around, trying my hand at an altered book. I like the look of the print showing through the watercolor. This is painted on a map in an old encyclopedia from the 50's.
